Why We Archived

GeekLK started in 2010 as our first real corner of the internet — a place to write about technology, share what we were figuring out, and geek out about the things that fascinated us. For nearly a decade, it was where we spent our evenings, weekends, and more late nights than we care to admit.

By May 2020, life had pulled both of us in different directions — new jobs, new cities, new priorities. Rather than let the site quietly disappear, we decided to keep it online: as an archive, as a memento, and because some of what we wrote here still helps people who stumble across it.

What still works

  • All 199 posts are here, at their original URLs — nothing has moved.
  • Search runs entirely in your browser (client-side, no database).
  • Images are hosted on our own Cloudflare R2 storage — the site no longer depends on WordPress plugins or a shared host.
  • Categories, tags, and author archives — all preserved.

What's different

  • No new posts since May 2020. The archive is frozen by design.
  • Comments are closed. Existing discussions stay visible; new comments aren't accepted.
  • The contact form and "Write For Us" pages are gone — nobody's on the other side of them anymore.

Where we are now

  • Azker writes at azker.me about product management, telecom, hospitality, and whatever else he's exploring.
  • Irfad writes at irfadrazick.com.

Thanks for reading — whether you arrived here through a search result, an old bookmark, or a link from ten years ago. This blog was a meaningful part of both our stories, and it feels right to keep it standing.
